IF YOU WORSHIP SHRI "KRISHNA" GLOOM, DEPRESSION AND DESPONDENCY WILL NEVER EVER COME IN YOURS AND YOUR LOVED ONE'S LIFE BECAUSE YOU WOULD CREATE THE BEST ENVIRONMENT AROUND YOU THROUGH HIM.
"Govardhan" Puja is celebrated a day after Diwali, that is the fourth day of the 5-day grand Hindu festival. According to the Hindu calendar it falls on the first lunar day called as 'Ekam' of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight of moon) in the month of Kartik. It forms an integral part of "Diwali" celebrations.
"Govardhan" Puja is called by different names in different parts of the country. In some places it is known as "Bali Pratipada", "Annakut Puja", "Padwa"
"Govardhan" Puja is all about Preserving Ecology and Respecting Environment, Jungles, Rivers, Animals and Nature. Shri "Krishna" had asked the people Gokul to worship "Govardhan" mountain which provided Pastures to their cows and Livelihood to the people.
It is celebrated all over the India by decorating the temples of Lord "Krishna" and through singing and dancing. They preserve Mountain, River and Nature as worship of Shri "Krishna" as he teaches his devotees the way to live life and provides shelter in severe adverse conditions and saves life.

They prepare Naivedya of the Chappan Bhog (means 56 food items) or 108 food items in order to offer to the Lord during Puja, to be distributed to everyone as prasad.
On the day of "Govardhan" Puja, people make hillocks from cow dung, which represents mount "Govardhan". These hillocks are then beautifully adorned with flowers and worshipped with Kumkum and Akshatra. Devotees then perform ‘Parikrama’ (a ritual of taking rounds) around the hillock. On this day people also give bath to their bulls and cow and decorate them with garlands and saffron. They then worship the cows and bulls as these animals are considered dear to Lord Krishna and are nature's most reliable and useful animals.
On the day of Govardhan Puja, it is believed that those who remain gloomy and depressed, will remain so throughout the year. Those who worship with vedic rituals Shri Lord Krishna, on the day of "Govardhan" Puja; will always remain blessed, Happy and without Gloom, Depression and Despondency throughout the year, because your love for Shri Krishna would make you preserve ecology and environment and teach you to respect nature, jungles and animals.
