Col Ashutosh Sharma SM bar, always told his wife, when asked "When would he come on leave"? His answer every time used to be "The day I complete my Combat Operations, the very next day". The braveheart has kept his promise to his strong and brave wife Mrs Pallavi Sharma. He is arriving the next day, that is today, as promised, he would be reaching his dear wife. But this time unfortunately wrapped in Tricolor.
The story of Maj Anuj Sood, the brave young Officer, with a promising future in the Army; is also extremely painful. He was just 4 months into marriage and had already completed his tenure with the RR battalion.The Officer was stuck to overstay due to the National Lock Down.
Ladies and Gentlemen the loss is too huge and big, the pain too palpable and evident in each and every heart of the Nation, without requirement of much explanation.
The loss for their family is irreparable and irreplaceable and now they are also faced with an extremely very difficult life to live.
And if you are a Combat Soldier like me, you cannot even cry.
