The perpetual crib of the Armed Forces that NFU has been denied to them, has been undone by the Government today, now no service in the Country will enjoy this highly contentious and discriminatory perk, which so far was being enjoyed only by the Civil Services. This happens post July 19.
The pension of Civil Servants who have retired in the Apex pay scales due to NFU but we're functionally at lower level will be revised. Ordnance to the effect has already been drafted and sent back to DoPT for study( Only for pension aspect. NFU approved to be discontinued)
The appraisal system for all India Services being revised to weed out the non performers.
The Armed Forces will now automatically get a higher status, because the All India Gp A Service to be merged into only Three(3) Services namely "IAS", which will include all Non Technical Service, like Accounts, Revenue etc; "IPS", which will include all Security related Service like CISF, BSF, CRPF Coast Gd etc etc; and "ITS" to include all Technical Services. With this Three there will be also be a Specialists Branches.
Now how this changes the profile of these services, firstly, their fast vertical climb ceases, they would be horizontally employed in now large spectrum of appointments, before they manipulate themselves to higher position of power and money. Like IPS officers coolly flaunt Colonel's/Brigadier's rank within few years of their service, because it is an appointment badge not a rank to them, but unfortunately they start comparing them, with senior hardened officers of the Army, as equal in public. Now, with this change they will have to serve as CISF, BSF, CRPF Company Commander's/ Second-in-Command / Commanding Officer and than only they will be eligible for further promotions; and wear the rank specific to that appointment, irrespective of what they were wearing as SP/ DIG/ IG of a place. It will now almost become a All India Service not State Cadre Service.
At Joint Secretary level, which is generally equated with a Maj Gen Rank, of the Army: by the IAS, IG by the IPS, is almost the end story for the IAS cadre Officers.
At Joint Secretary level Modi Government will be directly recruiting Professionals in every Government Department, to take the place and appointment of the IAS Officers Therefore very few IAS and IPS cadre Officers will reach that position of Power, without being thoroughly Professional and a Performer in their specified job.
Modi ji will value and honor only Results, Performance, Hardwork, Honesty, Character and Integrity. Armed Forces will also have to perform and display to India absolute results and become Professional and task oriented, with minimum casualties whatsoever
