Step to strengthen the spirit of "Wuhan" in "Mamallapuram". This is the second informal summit between PM Modiji and President Xi Jinping.
The penchant and love of both the world leaders for heritage and history had brought them together at Wuhan and now at Mamallapuram the UNESCO world heritage site.
Mamallapuram, or Mahabalipuram, is a town on a strip of land between the Bay of Bengal and the Great Salt Lake, in the South Indian State of Tamil Nadu. It’s known for its Temples and Monuments built by the "Pallava Dynasty" in the 7th and 8th centuries. The Seafront Shore Temple comprises 3 Ornate Granite Shrines. "Krishna’s Butter Ball" is a massive boulder balanced on a small hill near the "Ganesha Ratha stone temple. The heritage town has connect with "Pandava's" and is depicted by their 5 Rath carvings on a Single Stone Rock, with Temple of Almighty Shri "Brahma", Shri "Shiva", Shri "Vishnu", Shri "Ganesha" and depicting MA "Ganga", in Vedic Descriptions. It is recorded heritage that this town had business and trade links with China during "Pallava's" time.
The "Wuhan" informal summit happened at the backdrop of Doklam Standoff and "Mamallapuram" happens after abolishing of Article 370 and 35A from J&K by India.
The uniqueness of this informal summit between India and China at Mamallapuram is, there are No Expectations, No Goal Posts and No Agenda.
Why is India important to China at this moment?
China is facing big trade war with the US, it's market is shrinking. America a 19 trillion dollars economy and China at 12 trillion dollars economy, has slowed and growing, US at 3.8 % and China at 5.8%. India 2.9 trillion economy is growing at 5.8 and by this quarter end at 6.2%. UK and Germany GDP is growing much below 1% as on date. China, with her one child policy, is today having average age above 40 years and with rampant selective abortion of female fetuses, there are only male population in China. Due to market slow down, increase cost of labour, China is looking to Invest in India, for Make in India Initiative, as labour in India is the cheapest and best skilled in the world.
The statement by China allegedly assuring Pak PM Imran Khan that the Kashmir issue will be resolved bilaterally as per UN resolution, is inconsequential, in the overall Indo-China Good Relations. China is facing uphill task in maintaining and constructing CPEC in POK. The Baluch Liberation Army, a Baluch Militant Group has created havoc on the Chinese workers on CPEC. The situation closer to Gwadar Port remains extremely tense. The approach road few KM to Gwadar Port is marked by network of Security Check Posts, where nobody can enter without intense and detail security checks. Just recently a Star Hotel near Gwadar Port was attacked by the Baluch Militants, massacring 80 Chinese and Saudi Arab technocrats who staying there. China is visualizing, the difficulty of Gwadar Port operations once, it gets ready and operational. You never know, China may help India take over and occupy POK, Liberate Baluchistan and India assuring China refund of all her expenditure on CPEC plus use of Gwadar Port facilities, without hindrance in future.
